Apologies if this or something similar to it has already been posted.

I’ve been reading and watching the news stories coming out of Louisiana and it’s just insane. I hope everyone is okay. Property can be replaced, but lives can’t. This is just a terrible situation all around.

Y’all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Alex got out. I’m not sure where he is, but he posted to let us know he is safe.

My family and I are sheltering in place. Our house is many feet above the predicted flood height. We expect the roads to flood, so we have supplies for a couple of weeks. My next-door neighbor has a boat and is prepared to float us out if needed.

Kidding aside, I wish LA the best of luck. It must suck to just lose everything like that and especially devastating to car guys since a flooded car is a dead car.

3 people are dead, and that’s where you go with it?

Nice

I hate to say it, but three people in 7000 is pretty amazing as it is. Of course, none is always better, but when this many people are being saved, the loss of their entire property and belongings is the second priority. To be honest, it shouldn’t need to be said that I am wishing the best for LA since it goes without saying that nothing is more important than human life, but I will say it now.
